Finding the causeA clear picture of the installation before anything is changed.
InspectionsThe usual reasons people ring: a breaker that trips and will not reset, or a socket or lighting circuit that has gone dead. A shower or an immersion that has stopped working. Sockets and switches that are worn or too few. And fuse boards old enough to have no RCD protection at all. Inspections are the other half — an EICR before a sale or purchase, the five-yearly certificate a rented property needs, and the repairs a report calls for. New circuits, outside power and rewiring are all part of it too.
New Milton, Barton on Sea, Ashley and Bashley are all covered. You deal with Peter throughout: a look first, a clear price, and the certificate at the end. Quotes are free and there is no obligation.
Some of the work here is not about anything being faulty, but about a house that needs to work differently — after an operation, or for a relative moving in. Sockets raised off the skirting, switches at the top and bottom of the stairs, a fused supply near the stairs for a stairlift, or a shower on a circuit of the right size. If an occupational therapist or builder has drawn up plans, send them and I will work from those.
Outdoor work is a regular request: a weatherproof socket, lighting down a path or drive, power to a greenhouse or shed. Anything outside needs proper protection and fittings made for the weather. A garage, workshop or garden office normally wants a circuit of its own rather than an extension lead, sized for the distance and for whatever will run out there.
Planned work matters just as much. An extension or loft conversion is far easier to wire before the walls are closed up, with the positions agreed before the rest of the job moves on, which usually saves money. An EV charge point needs a circuit of its own. Both are worth checking against your existing board before anything is ordered.
If you don’t know what the job needs, just say so. I’d rather spend ten minutes explaining it than quote for work you don’t need. After 15 years I can tell you what’s urgent, what’s worth planning for, and what’s perfectly fine as it is. Quotes are free. Let’s have a chat.

Questions
Normally a fused supply close to the stairs, wherever the stairlift installer asks for it. They will give you the position; I can put the supply there and check that the circuit it comes from is sound.
Yes. It usually means extending the cable up from where the socket is now, so some plastering and decorating are involved. Doing all the sockets in a room at once is far less disruptive than one at a time.
Say what needs doing — plans are welcome — and I will come back to you.
