Who we are

This website is run by Firefly Energy Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales, company number 13809027. Our registered office is 23a The Precinct, London Road, Waterlooville, Hampshire, PO7 7DT. The registered office is an administrative address; it is not a trading premises.

Firefly Energy Ltd is responsible for the personal information described in this policy. You can contact us about it by emailing info@fireflyenergy.co.uk or by ringing 07809 703734.

What we collect when you ask for a quote

When you use the quote form, we collect the information you give us:

  • your name, phone number and email address
  • the postcode of the property
  • the type of work and the details you select
  • any message you add, and when you would like the work done
  • the page you came from on this site, the website that referred you where your browser supplies it, and any campaign information in the link you followed

If you ring or email instead, we keep what you tell us so that we can deal with your enquiry. There are no customer accounts on this website, and we do not build customer profiles.

Information used for security

To protect the quote form from spam and abuse, your IP address and basic browser information are used temporarily, for example to limit repeated submissions. This is short-lived and is not intended to become part of your enquiry record.

The form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to tell genuine enquiries from automated ones. Cloudflare processes technical information from your browser, such as your IP address, for that purpose only, and may do so outside the UK under the safeguards data protection law requires. It protects the form you are using, so it is not optional and does not depend on your analytics choice.

When you send an enquiry it reaches us by email, through the mail service of the company that hosts the website, and that email contains the details you entered in the form.

Analytics and cookies

We use Google Analytics to understand how the website is used — which pages are visited and how people find them — so that we can improve it. Google provides that service and processes the information for us, including outside the UK, under the safeguards data protection law requires. Google Analytics never receives your name, contact details or the contents of your enquiry.

Analytics runs only if you agree to it. Nothing is loaded from Google, and no analytics cookie is set, until you choose “Accept analytics”. If you choose “Reject”, or simply ignore the question, the website and the quote form work exactly the same.

To remember your answer we store one small cookie of our own, called firefly_consent, for about six months. That cookie holds nothing but your choice, and it is set whichever way you choose. You can change your mind at any time using Cookie settings at the bottom of any page. Turning analytics off stops any further collection and clears the analytics cookies we can reach from this website; it does not, by itself, delete information already collected, which you can ask us about using the contact details below.

We do not use advertising, remarketing or personalisation tracking. There is no advertising pixel on this website, and the advertising features of Google Analytics are switched off.

How we use your information

  • to reply to your enquiry and give you a quote
  • to arrange and carry out work you book, and to keep the records that go with it
  • to follow up on your enquiry if we have not been able to reach you
  • to keep the website and the quote form secure
  • where analytics is in use, to understand how the website is used and improve it

We do not sell your information, and we do not add you to marketing lists.

Our legal basis

We use your information to take the steps you ask for before any agreement, such as preparing a quote, and to perform the contract if you book work. We keep certain records because the law requires it, for example for tax and accounting. We rely on our legitimate interests to keep enquiry records for a reasonable period, to protect the website from abuse and, where consent is not required, to understand how the site is used. Where consent is required, such as for non-essential cookies, we rely on your consent.

Who we share it with

We share information only where it is needed. That includes trusted service providers who host the website, deliver email and provide security checks, who may use it only to provide their service to us, and anyone we are required to share it with by law. Some providers may process information outside the UK; where they do, we rely on the safeguards UK data protection law requires.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not become booked work are normally kept for up to 12 months after the last meaningful contact, then deleted or anonymised, unless there is a legitimate reason to keep them longer, such as an unresolved query.

Where an enquiry becomes booked or paid work, we keep only the records we need to meet our contractual, tax and accounting obligations, for as long as the law requires.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. We will delete what we can, but we may need to keep some records where the law requires us to. In some circumstances you can also object to, or ask us to restrict, how we use your information, and where we rely on your consent you can withdraw it at any time.

To make a request, email info@fireflyenergy.co.uk. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113, although we would appreciate the chance to put it right first.

Keeping it secure

Enquiries are held in a private area of the website that only authorised users can access. They are never published, and they are kept out of search results.

Changes to this policy

We will update this policy when the way we handle information changes. This version was last updated on 14 September 2026.
